About me and our session.
I'm so grateful you're here. I am a sentimental memory-hoarder from way back and I'm obsessed with freezing time through photography. It’s the candid, little in-between moments of family connection that, looking back, are actually the big moments for me. The moments that years from now will be in the back recesses of your mind until you see a photograph that brings it all back. The chubby wrist rolls, the cheeky gleam in their eye, soft little tendrils at the back of their head, light speckling of freckles across their nose, the way you can effortlessly throw them on your hip or toss them in the air. I want to capture it all, help you see the beauty of now, and remember these details in years or generations to come.
Most of my beautiful clients say to me “I want to capture these memories but I’m so awkward in photographs” and this is their main concern. I promise that we will make the experience fun, relaxed, and not too “posey”. You will be pleasantly surprised with how natural you look, because when you’re enjoying yourself, comfortable, and in the moment with your family any awkwardness melts away.
My family sessions are child-led and lean into the beautiful chaos of family life. I have no expectations of children posing for photographs, will not force any cheesy grins, or be deterred by strong-willed or spirited behaviour. I embrace children being themselves and aim to capture their authentic personalities and special family bonds.
